The trend of computers has swept through the world. The idea of resource sharing of the Internet and the popularization of computer applications in business has become increasingly important. To promote mutual learning and to improve the information knowledge of users for effective management and decision-making with computers, NEC Taiwan thus established the NUAT in December 1993 to promote IT application, exchange and communication among members. The association was renamed as NUAT in January 1996.

　　NUAT recruit members from NEC computer users, including government agencies, organizations and private sectors. By organizing various activities, members from different fields can exchange their experience and knowledge in computer application and reflect their opinions to NEC Taiwan for two-way communication.

　　Currently NUAT has branches in northern, central and southern Taiwan and has its own webpage. NUAT also organizes overseas seminars, domestic seminars and visits to members to promote mutual learning and practice among members.
